The Colour of Fire

The Colour of Fire

The Colour of Fire is the winner of a scriptwriting competition 2014, organised by Exit Theatre.

It is a powerful and compelling story of Eva, an artist who struggles with the grief of losing her family in the 2009 Victorian bushfires. Her trauma is reflected in her paintings in which the colour of fire is the predominant one.

Eva’s inner demons are affecting her relationship with her supportive boyfriend, Alex. When Eva is commissioned to paint the portraits of two bushfire survivors – Jack & Agnes, her struggle comes to the surface.

What makes it even more dramatic is a secret revelation from Jack that will either destroy her or help her rise from ashes…

The Colour of Fire touches issues that seem not have been discussed on Australian stage yet.
